I represent a carbon tube manufacturer in Asia. I work with a team of specialists in composite materials. I joined their team to be their ambassador in the world of kites.
Until recently they only worked on industrial composite solutions.
I convinced them the US market was off the table
and they better focus on the rest of the world.
Representing
In Winter 2022 we started to do inventory on the most popular kite frames on the market. We decided to work on frames with the most room for improvement. This was a big challenge because we had to stick to all the measurements and sizes. Soon after I started testing the first carbon tubes and the results blew me away. Exactly the same characteristics and with that the options for the pilots to integrate our frames into the existing ones.
The composite engineers did an experiment with kevlar materials they were working with on military projects. Now putting it into something way smaller than they were used to. It was up to me to build a kite around it and start testing. The result is an indestructible but very ultra-light frame.
Future
2023 we are still testing the tubes and taking some small steps in selling them to potential beta testers.
